Meet The Friendly Staff at University Optometry

Our exceptional, friendly staff is our greatest asset at our Palo Alto Optometry office. They are excited about what they do, and they care personally about getting the best results for our patients.
Our receptionists will try to accommodate your busy schedule by finding appointments that suit your needs. We will help you understand your insurance coverage and if financial arrangements are necessary, we will be glad to help you develop a plan to make your vision care treatment possible.

Donna G. Ratinoff

Donna is the Office Manager and has been with University Optometry since 1987. She ensures that the day-to-day business of the office runs smoothly and professionally. She makes customer service a priority, manages insurance billing and assists with eyewear consulting.

She loves to spend her leisure time with her granddaughters, which number 4! Her passion is shopping, day or night, in any city across the world at any unique boutique. She also loves getting lost in a good book with Godiva at her side.

Andrea Albertario

Andrea has been in the optical industry since 1993. She is certified by the American Board of Opticianry and National Contact lens Examiner which allows her to assist the doctor with contact lens fittings. She has been helping patients with stylish eyewear selections, training new contact lens wearers and managing buying the latest frame fashion for University Optometry since 2001.

She enjoys the challenge of customizing glasses to fulfill each patient's unique lifestyle. She is also fluent in Spanish.

In her free time, she likes hiking, dark chocolate, dark chocolate, dark chocolate, walking her dogs, dark chocolate and a good book in either English or Spanish.

Ariana Albertario

Ariana is a Social Media Strategist/Front Office Assistant. She has been a part of the University Optometry family since 2009. From 2012 to 2014 she moved to Southern California to study Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations at CSU Fullerton and a minor in Spanish. After graduating she returned to our office part time to help with the transition to electronic records. Once that project was tackled, she continued to help our social media presence grow and keep us all on our toes with what’s popular and how to do it.

She has taught us how to take the best selfie, how to Tweet and Pin. She loves helping patients with photoshoots during their shopping experience in order to find the perfect frame. She loves frame shopping for herself and loves to wear a different pair of glasses every day of the week. She is also fluent in Spanish.

She is extremely passionate about baking, shopping (of course), reading romantic novels, eating sushi and getting manicures. Emoji’s define her best.  emojis
